Come visit the Twin Oaks Church Library and check these books out:
Books for children and all ages:
• God’s Gift of Christmas by John Macarthur
The miraculous gift of Christmas is God being born in a manger, so we can be born again in His glory. He made possible the gift of God —eternal life. That is the sum of the Christmas message.
• Corrie’s Christmas Memories by Corrie ten Book
This festive little book volume recaptures all the charm and nostalgia of Christmas from the pages of Corrie’s past —times when everyone celebrated the true meaning of Christmas as the birthday of our Lord.
• We also have the book "The Meaning of Marriage" by Tim Keller that Associate Pastor Bill Myers and Elder Frank McGuigan are using in their Adult Sunday School class.
Book Review: Saint Nicholas – The Real Story of the Christmas Legend written by Julie Stiegemeyer and illustrated by Chris Ellison
The Legend of Father Christmas – Santa Claus – has its roots in history. Nicholas was a pastor just three hundred years after Jesus walked the earth. Tales of his generosity, a response to the gifts we receive through Jesus, were widespread. His kindness and care are modeled every time we give a gift out of love.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Julie Stiegemeyer was born in Denver, Colorado and has lived in various corners of the U.S., including Seattle and Los Angeles. She now lives in the hills of Pittsburgh, where her husband Scott, is a pastor. Julie and her family live with five pets – two cats, two frogs, and a golden retriever. She is a freelance writer and the author of four board books, including “Things I See in Church”.
