Missions

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...

Matthew 28:19

Global Missions

Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church embraces the command of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which states, “… go and make disciples of all nations.”  The aim of foreign missions is to make Christ known to the world.

We support 24 missionary families in 14 countries. The budget for this ministry comes from Faith Promise pledges that are received each year in February at the conclusion of our annual World Missions’ Conference.

USA Missions

Through local ministries we impact our city, state, and nation for Christ as we partner with different agencies to bring the Gospel in Word & Deed to those who have not yet heard. Twin Oaks is involved in supporting church planting, life-affirming ministries, Christian education at all levels, outreach, and mercy ministries. Learn more about our supported ministries at our annual USA Missions Conference each fall.

Short - Term Trips

The purpose of Short-Term Mission Trips is to glorify God through fulfilling the Great Commission.  We also hope to deepen our relationship between our church and supported missionaries, encourage and support the work of our missionaries in their labors, as well as provide opportunities for TOPC members to experience foreign missions. Twin Oaks strives to regularly send teams to assist our supported missionaries in a variety of ways.

Get Involved

If you are interested in serving on the Missions Committee, on a mission trip, at a local supported ministry, through prayer,  or encouraging our supported missionaries, please contact the church office.

The Twin Oaks’ Missions Committee oversees the ministry budget, the publication of our monthly Missions Monitor, short-term mission teams and host special missions conferences throughout the year. The Missions Committee seeks to fulfill the mission of making disciples of all nations by:
  • Assisting and supporting our International and Local missionaries and supported agencies through finances, prayer, and encouragement
  • Equipping the congregation to fulfill its mission
  • Resourcing people, time, and money to reach all languages, people, and tongues for Christ Jesus by Word and deed, beginning in the town of Twin Oaks, across our region and nation and to the uttermost parts of the earth
